Hello, I am Sabin Hogue of Sabin Hogue Art. Writing that is so surreal since I don’t do art, or at least I didn’t.
I’m a homeschool momma and back in August of 2022, my kids asked me to add art to our curriculum. I adamantly said no and offered a kidney in exchange.
After praying about it, the Lord made it clear if I was going to teach, then I had to teach all subjects not just the ones that were easy for me. I begrudgingly agreed and our first art video we watched was in September 2022 by the fabulous Andrea Nelson.
For someone who wouldn’t play Pictionary or Hangman (did I mention how much I didn’t do art?), I was shocked to find out my octopus looked like an octopus after watching that first video.
We continued our video art lessons and by November 2022 I was painting daily and LOVING IT! Who would’ve thought an artist AND an artist business would be born?
I’m excited to see where the Lord takes my business and I’m all in for the wild ride.
